Pack your chevron dress and lipstick because it is going to be one LONG day!
Thankfully our team of 4 first grade teachers rallied together today and got our rooms ready!
Here's how it will go down this year:
When parents and students walk in they will find signs helping direct them around the room.
The first stop is to find their child's packet. Any packets left over let me know who did not come to meet the teacher night.
Station Two is all about the backpack tags.
Station Three- Pick a Seat! Students write their name on a sticky note on the desk that they would like to sit at for the first day. On the desk, parents will find an important info sheet that has to be done before they leave. Everything else in their packet can wait until the first day of school.
Station 4 is out in the hall. Supply sorting happens out where it won't over crowd the classroom.
Here's the full look in the hall.
Station 5 is where parents can take a helping hand. These are small items they can donate to our classroom that aren't on the school supply list.
Finally station 6 is the treat station. Students get a necklace and parents get a little refreshment!
