Just 24 Hours Ago...

Just 24 hours ago...
We were enjoying the innocence of our classroom.

We didn't wake up and worry about our safety.
We were working towards preparing our student's minds for their futures.
We were counting down to the weekend, vacation time, and holidays.

Now we are hugging tightly, drying our eyes, and being so thankful that we have life.

To the teachers, staff, parents, and first responders in CT:

You are heroes.

Your courageous acts bring pride and humility to our hearts.
Your stories bring tears to our eyes.
The innocence lost brings aching in our souls.
 You are HEROES

Romans 8:38-39
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  1. So well said! So many aching hearts today, thank you for reminding me of the peace and comfort that can only come from a loving Father. Only He can bring comfort to our crazy and senseless world.

  2. Heroes indeed. Love and hugs to you.

  3. Well very said indeed. I pray during this time we all will trust in the Lord will all our hearts and lean not to own understanding and know that all things work together for good to those love Chirst and are called according to his purpose! (Proverbs 3:5 & Romans 8:28).

  4. Beautifully said! Thank you for remembering the first responders. I can't imagine having their job and having to walk into that situation. They are so many times overlooked.
